Our overseas talented instructor, Mimi Liew (@passionatecreate & @PassioNate Cakes by LMK) is an extraordinaire cake artist who magically creates architecturally impressive designs, comprising multi-tiered cake creations with intricate and exquisite detailing and more.  Other than her great talent in stunning & brilliant Cake Designs and her wealth of experience travelling to many countries to teach pre-Covid, Chef Mimi has an innate interest in baking beautiful Sourdough Artisan Breads.  
Mimi will be back to teach in Singapore after 3 years in September 2022 to teach a series & variety of Sourdough Bakes.

**Sourdough Dim Sum**
.

Dim Sum  ( 点心) is a type of Chinese / Cantonese cuisine prepared as bite-sized morsels, traditionally served in bamboo baskets or on small plates. They usually have savoury and non-savoury varieties to choose from and often served as breakfast or tea time snacks together with Chinese tea to cleanse the palate.

In this Sourdough Dim Sum Series, we will be using the natural way to do the leavening, sourdough starter, to prepare  Cha Siu Bao ( 叉燒包)and Ma Lai Gao ( 馬來糕 )  plus another bonus Bao demo.

**Sourdough Pajeon** (Kimchi Pancake) using Sourdough Discard – Semi-Hands-on  (Bonus Recipe)
Zero-Wastage Recipe – Instructor will prepare the batter, participants will add the ingredients (vegetables and prawns) to mix and pan fry the Pajeon
Students with allergies issues may omit the ingredient for mixing and frying.

Workshop Content:

  • Detailed guidance on maintenance of sourdough starter.
  • How to start a stiff sourdough starter to make Baos.
  • Hands-on knowledge on mixing to steaming
  • Preparing fillings for the Baos
● Students will bring home their own products at the end of the class
● Students will take home with them an active sourdough starter to continue their sourdough journey.
● All materials, recipe notes, and tools will be provided during the workshop.

● A WhatsApp student support group will be set up to let students discuss and interact with the instructor to raise any queries throughout their Sourdough experience (pertaining to the Sourdough menu items taught in this workshop) and their sourdough starters maintenance, indefinitely.

Registration Process

.

  1. Kindly confirm with Sharon via WhatsApp at +65-9688 2777 if there are still available seats for the workshop before proceeding with the online registration.
  2. Complete the registration online by clicking “Add to Cart”, followed by “View Cart”, then “Proceed to Checkout”. Complete your particulars & add remarks in the section “Order Notes (optional)” eg Workshop Date / Time (if more than 1 option is available), Account Holder Name (if different from the name you register for the class) and your Friend’s name & hp number if you are signing up for others.
  3. Please make Payment via Paynow / Paylah / Bank Transfer etc. with remarks during transfer your Name (if your account holder name is different from the name you registered for the class), Order number & Class Date.
  4. Important Step: Whatsapp Sharon at +6596882777 with a screenshot of payment receipt & Online Order # and advise participant’s mobile number (if you are making payment on behalf of others).
  5. Once payment & payment receipt has been sent, your booking is confirmed and we will reserve a seat(s) for you.
  6. Two days before the workshop, we will send out reminder WhatsApp messages, address, map, directions & a list of things to take note of to all paid participants.
